Round Phases
Airline Operations
The network pays its bills.
Airline Operations has no strategic choice. Each active airline acknowledges the phase, then the game settles all airlines together.
For each airline:
- Add the operating profit of every route.
- Subtract the maintenance cost of every owned gate, including unused gates.
- Add the resulting net profit to cash.
Net profit can be positive, zero, or negative. A negative net profit reduces cash; it does not by itself remove the airline from the game. Bankruptcy is checked later during Reset, after regulatory charges, taxes, and any dividend purchase in that round.
Route profits can change before this phase when a route is launched, closed, traded, an airport expands, or an airline leaves the game. Use the current values shown in the Atlas.
